WMA Monday Night Class Schedule:
Monday, May 27 (Memorial Day), is the next Week 1 for WMA Classes! ($100/4 weeks)
5:30-6:30 p.m. FUNdamentals (baby room and full arena practice!)
6:30-7:30 p.m. Novice Genius
7:30-8:30 p.m. Competition
8:30-9:30 p.m. Master Class
We are very good about make-up classes, don't worry if you have to miss!
AK9C students: Wednesday, May 1, is the next Week 1 at AK9C in Amherst, NH. Julie teaches all levels both mornings and evenings. Six-week sessions. www.AmericanK9Country.com to register. Private lessons with Julie are available Wed afternoons. Email Julie to schedule a date.
Run-Thrus at WMA are the first and third Thursdays of each month. Cost is $25 for three Standard runs plus a Game class. We start at 6:30 p.m. All Julie's WMA students and AK9C students are invited. You get three minutes for each turn. Toys and treats are allowed, and you may use your time to rework (or redesign!) any section of the course.
Our next Run-Thrus night will be Thursday, May 16. We will run an International level Standard course and then we'll run a Time2Beat course. Time2Beat is not designed to be a diabolical test of technical skill. It is designed to be generous with the flow and manageable with the challenges. So therefore we will balance that strategy with some bring-it-on stuff to test your skills in the Standard course! Plan to come and enjoy two very different courses with two very different approaches! There will even be Annie's lemon cake, as we celebrate Chico's new Jumpers title!
Is there interest in an International Skills 1-day seminar sometime this summer? What about Novice Genius? What about Baby Day on Saturday and Novice Genius on Sunday? I am listening! Email WMA if you're up for this, and let me know what you'd like to see and when.
WMA SUMMER CAMP!
This Camp will be held on Sat-Sun, JULY 6-7. The theme of the Weekend is: YOUR PERSONAL BEST!
Julie will be teaching Masters level Agility Classes. (Courses will be easily modified up for International skills or down for Open level skills, so that each handler works on appropriate challenges. Free-play stations always available!)
Karen Kay will be teaching Handler Self-Improvement, an individualized strength and balance program for every handler. Handouts and Homework!
Each handler's profile will begin with your own personal Movement Screen.
Check out Coach Kay's credentials at AccessAcceleration.com (click on Staff).
The Weekend will also feature a Saturday night dinner and program, plus optional yoga classes and "run with your dog" trail hikes.
Check out the flier on the Calendar page.
WMA students (including seminar participants) are invited to join the WMAgility Yahoo Group to discuss teaching, training, and handling topics with other like-minded creative positive thinkers! We are a wonderful resource!
