Run-Thrus at WMA will be the first and third Thursdays of each month. Cost is $25 for three runs plus a Game class. We start at 6:30 p.m. All Julie's WMA students and AK9C students are invited.
We had a fun Run-Thrus on Thursday, May 17, and an energetic game of Pairs Relay. Nobody forgot the baton, and nobody dropped the baton, and none of our dogs grabbed the baton away from a handler! After our first round, we switched sides and each ran the other half. Well done everyone!
A big thank-you to all the hard-working, fun-loving handlers and dogs who rocked the two WMA seminars in April. Everyone worked the challenges of handling and training with smart science and good humor. It was wonderful to see the happy, confident relationships between dogs and their people!
Dates are finalized for this summer, a two-day weekend for all these well-trained Novice dogs who are up and coming! The seminar is called "Novice Genius" and the dates are Sat-Sun, August 4-5. Details are posted in Northeast Agility Seminars on Facebook, and a flier will follow shortly.
Don't forget the WMA Instructor's Course 2012 will be August 17-19. We need lots of practice students for the program, so email Julie if you want to volunteer! Instructors have come from all over the world, a wonderful set of talented teachers who come here to hone their own programs and skills.
WMA students (including seminar participants) are invited to join the WMAgility Yahoo Group to discuss teaching, training, and handling topics with other like-minded creative positive thinkers! We are a wonderful resource!
